About Gerard
Welcome and thank you for visiting! I am an Expressionist Artist based in Dublin. In my paintings I aim to evoke emotions that touch the viewer’s very soul. I am very happy to be painting full-time and love every minute I spend in my home studio or out in nature painting en plein air. It’s my dream come true! I studied Art at NCAD and subsequently was very fortunate to study under renowned Artists including Arthur Maderson and Desmond Carrick. I spent 3 wonderful years as Artist-in- Residence and Curator in ‘The Village” Art Gallery in Stillorgan Shopping Centre. I am very proud that my tenure there raised over 10k for Laura Lynn Children`s Hospice
During my career as an artist, I have enjoyed exhibiting my work in various Art Festivals and also had four one-man exhibitions which were all very successful. I am delighted that my paintings are in many major collections in Ireland and further afield, including Australia, America, England, Canada and Spain and proud that they are in eminent collections such as that of Matthew Mc Connaghy, The American Embassy, Concern Head Office and Blackrock Clinic. More recently I am honoured to have my paintings in the fabulous new Pastoral Centre Newtownpark Avenue Blackrock and in Wetherspoons Three Tun Tavern in Blackrock Village.
